December 4, 2007 Trophy & Awards Business moves to downtown Downtown Piqua’s newest business is a trophy and awards business that expanded its Vandalia operations to better service its Miami and Shelby county customers. Gauntlet Awards opened its doors in early November and is located at 327 N. Main Street. The company was established in 1975 in Vandalia by Robert and Carole Hendrey but purchased by Steven and Beverly Gall, the present owners, in June 2005. Since then the company has expanded and invested in itself and now Gauntlet Awards has the in-house cutting edge technology that allows them to do laser and rotary engraving as well as sublimation and sandblasting. Gauntlet Awards in downtown Piqua is managed by Phyllis Bell.
