Holiday Lunches to be offered at Victorian Christmas“A Victorian Christmas Card” is the theme of Mainstreet Piqua’s annual Victorian Christmas event scheduled for the 2nd floor of Apple Tree Gallery, 405 N. Main Street Tuesday, November 28th through Sunday, December 10. Victorian Christmas is a unique collection of breathtaking holiday displays assembled by businesses, private collectors and area florists. To date the committee has fifteen confirmed displays with more being added each week. The Victorian Christmas Preview Party, a fundraiser for the Mainstreet Piqua organization, will be held on Monday, November 27 from 7 – 9 p.m. Tickets for that event are $10 per person with attendees enjoying a huge variety of delicious holiday desserts, wine and coffee. Music for the evening will be provided by the Miami Valley Woodwind Quintet. There will also be a silent auction with a selection of items donated by downtown Piqua businesses. A new feature of Victorian Christmas this year is two public lunches to will be held on Thursday, November 30 and Tuesday, December 5. Anyone is invited to attend. Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost of the lunch will be $10 per person but prior reservations must be made. The menu features a choice of either ham or chicken Cordon Bleu with Hollandaise Sauce. Side dishes include apple salad, broccoli salad and potato cheese soup. Desserts are gingerbread cake with whipped cream or pecan pie. A selection of drinks including holiday punch, iced tea and coffee will be provided. Those wishing to make reservations for either the November 30 or December 5 date may call Mainstreet Piqua at 773-9355. Due to space limitations each lunch will be limited to 30 diners. Groups of 15 or more, who would like to reserve the Victorian Christmas venue for a private lunch, may also call Mainstreet Piqua. For More Information Contact: |
