Gingerbread House Workshop is Set

 

Dobo’s Delights Bakery, located at 417 N. Main Street in downtown Piqua, is hosting a Gingerbread house workshop during the “Christmas Experiences in Piqua” weekend.

While gingerbread houses and make-at-home Gingerbread house kits have been a regular fixture at Dobo’s Delights for a number of years, the very popular workshop was added about three years ago.  On Saturday, December 2nd from Noon to 2 p.m. bakery owner Cindy Dobo-Hoffman will be on hand to teach the class. “The gingerbread house workshops are always so well received.” Says Dobo-Hoffman.  “We have everything you need to create, and completely decorate, a gingerbread house.  There will be lots of different kinds of candy to incorporate into the house, and a seasoned professional to help guide you along.”  A fully decorated and assembled Gingerbread house is approximately 9” x 7”.

The Gingerbread House workshop is suitable for any age but children must be accompanied by an adult.  The cost for the workshop is $35 per Gingerbread house but if a family would like to make two houses there is a discount available.  A make-at-home kit is $20.  During the holiday season Dobo’s Delights offers gingerbread house workshops for interested groups including scout troops, large families and church groups.  The workshop is limited to the first 15 people to sign up and advanced registration is strongly recommended.  For more information on the Gingerbread House workshop at Dobo’s Delights call them at 773-7923.
