TASTE OF THE ARTS TO FEATURE AMAZING ENTERTAINERS

The amazing "Pino & Bonzer Show" will come to Piqua on Friday, May 18, 2007 as the children's headline entertainment for the thirteenth annual Taste of the Arts event that will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. on Main Street in downtown Piqua.

The Pino & Bonzer Show is a fun-filled variety show that features an amazing dog named "BONZER" and a quirky clown known as "PINO (Diane Wasnak)!  Adored by audiences across the United States, these two "friends" have brought laughter and fun into the lives of people of all ages - from young kiddies to the older "young-at-heart" generations.

Astounding dog tricks, audience participation, zany characters, comedic music and unique acts will keep the children of Piqua (of all ages) thoroughly entertained.  The Pino & Bonzer  Show will be presented twice from the children's entertainment stage set up in the "open air" of Main Street during the evening at Taste of the Arts.  Two twenty-minute performances will be presented - one at 6:15 p.m. and the other at 7:15 p.m.  The shows are free and no reservations are needed.  Just plan to attend.

Printed resumes for the two entertainers are impressive.  BONZER is a 6-year-old registered tri-colored Australian Shepherd with Film/TV appearances on Animal Planet's Funniest; A&E Special, Under the Big Top; and Spectrum Productions' Motion Capture Demo Dog; Stage credits include A Midsummer Night's Dream as Puck's dog, Marin Shakespeare Company; and Women Behind Bars, an inmate's pet, Theatre Rhinoceros, San Francisco; Cruise Ship performer aboard Royal Caribbean Cruise Line's Adventure of the Seas in 2002 and Brilliance of the Seas in 2003; plus numerous performances at corporate functions and festivals.

Skills listed for PINO (clown name for Diane Wasnak of Cincinnati) include: certified dog trainer, theatrical clowning, circus, mime, pole climbing, trick bicycle, partner acrobatics, juggling, saxophone, accordian, fiddle, didjeridu, musical saw, theremin, and creative consultation.

Robert Hurwitt, San Francisco Chronicle writes, "Wasnak has honed her clown skills to such a degree that she can define a character or set a scene with a single, clear concise gesture."  And Gil Miller, Gil Miller Agency, Las Vegas refers to the Pino & Bonzer Show as "A Classic Vaudeville-style Dog Act … a Classic"!

Pino and Bonzer are eager to meet Piqua audiences.  Plan to greet them on Friday, May 18th at the thirteenth annual Taste of the Arts.  For more information, phone Mainstreet Piqua, 773-9355.
