"Turn Your Business Dream Into a Reality."

 

Mainstreet Piqua and the Upper Valley JVS Business Enterprise Center will be teaming up to present a free seminar on starting your own business.  The seminar, entitled "Turn Your Business Dream Into a Reality", will be held on Monday, February 12, 2007 from 7 – 8 p.m. at the Piqua Area Chamber of Commerce, located at 326 N. Main Street in downtown Piqua. 

This is the fourth time the Business Enterprise Center and Mainstreet Piqua, Inc. have co-hosted this kind of free seminar.  Some of the other topics to be discussed include, business plans, financing your business, customer service and employee relations.  The seminar will focus on how to start up a business but will also deal with the issue of finding your market and effective ways to reach those potential customers.  There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the thrills of being a small business owner.  Seminar attendees will also get all the details on the City of Piqua’s Microenterprise Loan Program, designed specifically for low to moderate income Piqua residents who would like to start a business in the Piqua city limits. 

            All those interested in attending the seminar are asked to call either the Upper Valley JVS Business Enterprise Center at 778-2274 or Mainstreet Piqua, Inc.  at 773-9355.  An accurate head count is needed to ensure there are sufficient printed materials available for all seminar participants.  The small business start up seminar is a project of the Mainstreet Piqua Economic Development committee.
